Toronto is Canada’s largest city and the capital of Ontario. As one of the most multicultural cities in North America, it is estimated that 140 languages are spoken in the city. The greatly diverse cultural mix makes Toronto one-of-a-kind!
If it is your first time visiting, you cannot miss going up the illustrious CN Tower. For 32 years, up until 2007, it was the tallest free-standing structure in the world. Standing on the glass floor at 342m above ground will give you a bird’s eye view of the entire city. Casa Loma is another must-see place, a Gothic castle style with secret tunnels 240m underground, waiting for you to explore.
If you choose to go slightly out of the city, a 90-minute car ride will take you to the Niagara Peninsula, where you can taste the unique ice wine made from frozen grapes in winter. At the same time, have a great view over the Niagara Falls. There is definitely much more of Toronto for you to experience.
